Owner and operator

In British Columbia, BCLC conducts and manages casino gambling, and private service providers run the casinos. This guide says a company "runs" a casino when it operates it. The word "owns" appears when an owner or a sale is published.

Parq Casino publishes neither name. Its privacy policy names "Parq", acting on behalf of BCLC, and no company behind it. The latest dated ownership record found for Parq is from 2019. Parq was developed by Paragon Gaming with Dundee Corporation and PBC Group, through the joint venture Parq Holdings Limited. In February 2019 Paragon sold its stake in Parq Holdings to PBC Group.

Later, in May 2019, Parq Holdings restructured its debt after an investment from a new equity partner, which was not named. Without a later record, this guide names no current owner and no operating company.

From Edgewater to Parq

Before Parq, Paragon Gaming ran the temporary Edgewater Casino at the Plaza of Nations. In April 2011 Vancouver City Council approved moving Edgewater's licence to the site next to BC Place. Parq replaced Edgewater, and all Edgewater employees were transferred to Parq.

Parq Vancouver, the resort around the casino at 39 Smithe Street, officially opened on September 29, 2017. Paragon Gaming, Dundee Corporation and PBC Group had developed it through Parq Holdings Limited. Paragon sold its stake to PBC Group in February 2019. A debt restructuring followed in May 2019, after investment from an unnamed equity partner.

No dated ownership record after 2019 has been found for Parq. For 2024 to 2026, this guide lists no sale and no new owner.
