Gambling Support BC answers at 1-888-795-6111. The call is free, and the line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It helps any BC resident, including people affected by a loved one's gambling.
A caller reaches a navigator. The navigator can help at once, find services nearby or connect the caller to a free counsellor. Since April 1, 2026, the 24/7 line and free counselling have run as one provincewide service.
Gambling Support BC is a provincial program, administered by the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO). This guide is independent of the service, and help services never pay it.

Help on the casino floor
A GameSense Advisor is available in every casino in British Columbia, for anyone harmed by gambling. That holds for all sixteen casinos in this guide.
Ownership does not change it. In British Columbia, BCLC conducts and manages casino gambling, and private service providers run the casinos. This applies to rooms owned by First Nations, rooms under agreements of sale and rooms whose owner is not published.
Game Break self-exclusion
Game Break is the voluntary self-exclusion program in British Columbia. Terms run for 6 months, 1 year, 2 years or 3 years. Once a term is chosen, it cannot be changed.
At a gaming facility, a person can enrol in Game Break in person with a registered gaming worker. The other option is enrolment by electronic means, handled by a BCLC employee.
A person excluded from a BC gambling facility is also excluded from PlayNow.com for the same period. Under the Gaming Control Act, online gaming means play on PlayNow, BCLC's own platform. A Game Break agreement covers that platform and not other online sites. Private online casinos are outside it.
