The Thompson-Okanagan
Gateway describes itself as the exclusive casino operator in the Thompson Okanagan region. In this guide, all four casinos in that area are Gateway rooms, in Kamloops, Kelowna, Vernon and Penticton. The region runs from Princeton in the west to Golden and the Alberta border in the east, and south to Osoyoos. Kelowna and Kamloops are its largest cities.
On January 14, 2019, Gateway bought Chances Kamloops. With that purchase it became the sole gaming provider in Kamloops. The City of Kamloops has received over $43.3 million in host payments since Cascades Casino Kamloops opened.
